Rise Up Sisters!

by | Nov 9, 2020 | Exhibits, Uncategorized

“Rise Up Sisters!” is a traveling exhibit created by the CT Women’s Hall of Fame to depict the journey to women’s suffrage. This beautiful and educational exhibit will be on display at 159 Main Street in Deep River from Tuesday, November 10th to Sunday, November 22nd. The display is set up to be viewed and enjoyed from the sidewalk. The exhibit has been brought to Deep River through the efforts of the Historical Societies of Chester, Deep River, and Essex. It was originally planned to be inside but COVID-19 restrictions offered us an opportunity to think out of the box and create a family-friendly exhibit for all of us to safely enjoy.
