Thank you to all you brought your cars or just came out to see these beautiful cars at the First Annual Orphan Car Show held on Family Day at the Deep River Historical Society. It was a big success. Sixty-two cars arrived for a day of great weather, fun, music and good friends. The variety of cars was amazing with some interesting surprises along the way. Coffee food and snacks were provided by the Nest and Chris’s Hot Dogs. Music, provided by our sponsors Taylor Designs and Accurate Oil Co., kept our toes tapping all day long. Visitors had a chance to view the exhibits in the Stone House for the last time before we change things up with a grant from CT Humanities. Look for our new exhibit to open next year. Wharf to Waterfall will be an exploration of the Deep River and the Mills and Factories that took their power from the stream and brought prosperity to Deep River with resources from all over the world.
