2019 Annual Meeting & Pot luck Supper

The Deep River Historical Society’s Annual Meeting was held March 20th with a pot luck supper and entertaining program by Rhonda Forristall and the Curatorial Committee. Rhonda and committee have co-sponsored a grant from Middlesex Community Foundation with Chester Historical Society to digitize Rhonda’s grandfather’s home movies and other films in the Society’s collection. The meeting was well attended. Jeff Hostetler, president gave his State of the Society address with committee reports by Cynthia Stannard, Treasurer, Rhonda Forristall, Curatorial, and Marian Staye Building and Grounds. The past year was very productive but the next few years will be challenging as we face some major capitol projects. Volunteers will be needed on various projects small and large as we host a variety of fund raisers to cover these projects.

Elections were held were re-elect Trustees Rhonda Forristall, Kathy Schultz and Richard Kalapos and to elect Matt Sheridan a Winthrop resident to his first term. Welcome Matt.
