Festival of Light, Hope & Art

Deep River Historical Society 245 Main Street, Deep River, CT

Deep River is beginning to glow. The lights are going up on Main Street and all over town. The Festival of Trees sponsored by the Deep River Historical Society has a new look this year. In partnership with the Deep River Merchants and CT River Artisans look for trees decorated by our nonprofit organizations and paintings by our local artists

September 11th 911 Memorial Anniversary

Winthrop Baptist Church

A Non-denominational, outdoor candlelight service to remember & reflect will be held at Winthrop Baptist Church at 6:30 pm. Please gather around the flag pole, candles will be provided and anyone who would like to speak is welcome.

Annual Meeting March 16th!

Carriage House 245 Main Street, Deep River, CT

Our annual meeting will be held on March 16th at 7:00 pm in the Carriage House. This will be an in-person event. We will practice social distancing and masks will be worn but will follow current guidelines if things change. We are not going to host a potluck dinner as we have in the past. We will have a short 

Shoreline Historical Society Coffee

Deep River Historical Society 245 Main Street, Deep River, CT

DRHS will be hosting members of historical societies from the Shoreline area for a tour of the new exhibit and a discussion on how their organizations are surviving the pandemic and other pertinent topics. We will open at 9:00 am for those wishing to tour the exhibits. Coffee will begin at 10:00 am.
