Deep River, Chester and Essex Historical Societies are hosting a "Patriotic Salute" to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Armistice Day and honor 100 years in all the branches of service in the wars our country has been engaged in. This program will be honoring veterans from any wars that our country was or is presently involved in. An annual tradition since the 1960’s many of you will remember Trustee Pat Adams and his crop of strawberries grown right on this property. Today the strawberries come fresh from Adams with biscuits and fresh whipped cream. This is a relaxing afternoon visiting with friends, neighbors and family. Don’t forget the Berry Basket Raffle with donated items from local merchants as well as the trustees. This is an important fundraiser for the Society so bring you friends and neighbors out…

Historic Ladies Sewing Circle

The Historic Ladies Sewing Circle consists of Ladies representing various time periods that come together to sew.  These ladies portray women from the 1740's through the 1920's. They will be sewing on the Stone House veranda and would be happy to talk with visitors about their clothing and their sewing projects. Family Day

An orphan car is a car whose manufacturer is no longer making cars. These specialty cars will be the focus of the show with other antique vehicles on display as well AS THE Society’s mule and horse drawn vehicles.
